We are becoming backpacking fanatics. It’s not that we like carrying all our stuff as we hike, it is the lighting mood of sunrise and sunset and being able to go much deeper into the backcountry than a day hike allows. To keep our pack weight light, we’re exploring a variety of lightweight clothing so we can enjoy nature rather than experience a sore body.

Craig has an analytical and experimental personality. He likes to try different clothing and see what’s best for a variety of weather conditions. Winter hiking and backpacking require a lot more knowledge and experience than a spring, summer or fall day hike in the high desert. As he gains experience with clothing for lightweight backpackers, he will share it here.
